Okay, so no song clip this week, but that’s okay. We’ve got new information on Vanessa and her music, thanks to Tim and his sources from PMB and Hollywood Records.So here’s what’s what and happening:

1. 18 songs completed. 2 more to go.

2. There will be a couple of songs in “Will” from Vanessa. More than three.ETA! Newest info! From Tim: “I just found out that Vanessa’s 1st single will be chosen in a matter of days to 2 weeks !!!”

Not much, but still something. Keep wishing for that song clip to appear soon - hopefully next week! & They recently posted that the previously mentioned song I Will [written by Hilary Duff] that Vanessa recorded has been taken off her album. Thanks to VANASHBRENIQUE and their friend Tom. We now have this awesome new information about Vanessas sophomore album!:

Tim: When can we expect her sophomore album to hit stores and the 1st single to hit radio?Hollywood Records: Vanessa Hudgens is currently working on her sophomore album, and will be finished by the end of Spring 2008, we should expect a single and a album by this Summer!

Tim: Will Vanessa promote the album outside the U.S.?Hollywood Records: We are trying to get our artists supported more, and Vanessa Hudgens could possibly go to the U.K., Europe, and even Japan, this year.

Tim: Are there any plans for a Vanessa Hudgens tour?Hollywood Records: We haven’t talked about a Vanessa Hudgens Tour this year, but possibly soon, if everything goes well.

Tim: Besides JR Rotem, Sean Garett, Tim James & Antonina Armata are there any other producers Vanessa is working with on the new album?Hollywood Records: We have received that Vanessa might be working with Timbaland. And she will be working with Robbie Nevil, Matthew Gerrard, and Jon Lind, on her upcoming album!

And of course EVERYONE knows Timbaland since he’s a HUGE HITMAKING producer. He’s worked with pretty much everyone but the main ones include Justin Timberlake & Nelly Furtado.

Several songs of Britney Spears as "Your Heaven" and "Radar" had rumors that would be the third single of the album "Blackout", but it has been confirmed that the next single of Britney Spears will be "Hot As Ice" and Britney is already working with the choreography for the music video. Sincerely, I think it's a kind of a bad choice, because there are better tracks in the album. There are tracks on the album that are really single worthy like "Get Naked (I Got A Plan)", "Toy Soldier", "Radar" and "Break The Ice", in my opinion. She said that she wanted to do something different and said that "Hot as Ice" was exactly what she wanted for her next single.

VANESSA HUDGENS NEW ALBUM NEWS

It’s (Almost) Confirmed that Vanessa has recorded 12 songs, so far, for her sophomore album and most likely recording 20 songs for her picking and choosing. We have a contact through a contact here on VABN and Erin from FanForum tells us that on the Pulse Music Boards, “This same person also gave a whole bunch of info on the Hilary Duff thread about her upcoming re-release. I’m guessing that Vanessa is going to record 20 songs at the most, most likely less though around 16 or 18.”

As there were 16 songs on her first album, including bonus tracks, if Hollywood Records decides to do a re-release, then she’s going to need some extra songs.

The contact on Pulse also just confirmed that the scrapped Hilary Duff song, will definitely be Vanessa’s. The song is called “I Will.”

ETA: out of the 12 songs she has recorded, she has apparently co-written 3 of them

Hey Guys! According to VanAshBreNique, Vanessa might record a song titled Trash Me [written by Jessie Malakouti] for her upcoming album. Check out Jessie's verison on her myspace page, though nothing has been 100 percent confirmed yet.

Of the band appropriately named, Shut Up Stella, is a contender for Vanessa’s upcoming album. And take it from us here, it’s hot. You can listen to the demo on Jessie’s myspace and then try and picture Vanessa recording it. Yea, Hot, hot hot. But from the way the posters on Pulse talked, it sounds like Vanessa will be recording it, but we’re not entirely sure if it will be on her album. There are also mentions of several other people are fighting over the song as well. Plus, Jessie Malakouti is also fighting for the rights to record it, since she did in fact, write the song.
And that’s not all, everyone. It seems that Hilary Duff is also picking and choosing too. She recorded a song for “Dignity 2″ and then they scrapped & who was it was given to? Vanessa. Title on that song is coming soon. A lot of Hilary’s songs were written by Kara DioGuardi, who, by her official site alone, is a top notch songwriter. I Don’t Need a Man (Pussycat Dolls), Ain’t No Other Man (Christina Aguilera), and Taking Chances (Celine Dion), anyone?

Expect a new, "definitely more grown-up" sound from Vanessa Hudgens when the "High School Musical" princess's second album gets released next year. That's the word from Vanessa, who tells us she's seven songs into the record, which she expects to have out after she finishes filming the third "High School Musical" movie in the spring."It's really fun, R&B, soulful," she says, but adds, "I'm still waiting to work with the big producers." The 19-year-old beauty is also "trying to work out another movie before we start 'High School Musical 3' as well, but trying to figure out everyone's schedule -- it's very complicated."

Hudgens, who gained notoriety when her nude photos were leaked on the Internet last summer -- which led her to make a public apology -- told us at the event that she isn't letting current Internet chatter get to her. She smiled and shook her head over speculation that her romance with leading man Zac Efron is merely a publicity ploy, saying, "I just brush it off. People can say what they want to say. I know what's real and I know what's fake, and that's all that matters."
